We will first hike upstream following the Nam Chung Country Trail, visiting structurally-controlled landform and a number of field-scale geological structures such as displaced pebbles and quartz veins. We will further ascend and pass through a number of waterfalls along the stream. Potholes of varying sizes are common. The sedimentary sequence there is classified as the Cretaceous Pat Sing Leng Formation. The group will further hike up to Lo lung Tin and then descend along another stream, known as Ping Ka Stream, to Luk Keng (鹿頸) where we will take the public transport to return to Fanling.
Priority will be given to GSHK members
